TSUMEB GYMNASTICS CLUB IN KEETMANSHOOP
Last year we lost one of our most promising gymnasts in the person of Dedre Basson when her father was transferred from Tsumeb to Keetmanshoop. Fortunately her parents also realized that she has a talent for gymnastics and decided not to give up.

Once in Keetmanshoop Lindie went to the principal of the school and asked permission to use the school gymnasium as well as all the available apparatus to do gymnastics with Dedre. Because Lindie herself has no gymnastics background, she went to the physical education teacher and asked if she would like to help her.

Well one thing lead to the other and last weekend 7 girls from Keetmanshoop took part in the Northern Zone gymnastics Competiton in Otjiwarongo as Tsumeb gymnasts. From these seven girls six went home with a medal.

They will compete as Tsumeb gymnasts for the rest ofthe year, but as from 2005 they will strart their own club. Good luck girls and keep up the good work.!!!!
