Services:
Water
Although Namibia is considered to be a semi-desert country, Tsumeb is located in a high rainfall area. This area is also rich in underground water, which means that there is ample water available in the town to sustain development.
Sewerage Facilities
The town's water-borne sewerage disposal works currently operates below capacity, largely dur to the fact that it does receive industrial effluent.
Police, Emergency and Security Services
Apart from the police and municipal emergency services like traffic control, ambulance and fire brigade, a number of private security and emergency companies offer a variety of services. These include security services for property and assets in transit, as well as emergency medical evacuation services by road and air.
Medical Services
A State and a private hospital manned by trained professionals offer world-class medical services.
The Tsumeb Women's and Children Centre is a safe haven for battered and abused women and children, offering shelter and counselling.
